It seems that every couple of months I need to touch on the ‘real estate bubble’ that pervades so many of my conversations with buyers and sellers. Rather than wax poetic about interest rates and the economy, I forward your attention to the following article.

Buyers Corner: Why do buyers put it off for so long?

It's always fun to meet first time homebuyers and hear about the reasons they've put off buying a home for so long. They weren't sure how to start, they felt they should know more about the market so they could get a good deal, they wanted to make sure all the conditions were right, they thought it might be better after the holidays/after school ended/after Aunt Maude left.
Many put off buying to save more for their downpayment, all while interest rates are creeping up and prices in Vancouver continue to rise. And for most, this is all going on while they continue to pay rent, which is definitely not going towards any equity of their own. Forget all your reasons; if you want to own your own home, start today. Because I can assure you, once people do own their first house, they are absolutely thrilled and they can't believe they put it off for so long!
