D’Arcy Harris Real Estate Update January 3, 2005
The beginning of 2005 is upon us! 2004 was a great year, and I think it’s only going to get better. There are few predictions about the real estate market out there right now, but I will venture to say this: whether the market goes up or down it’s possible to make money in real estate. Not only because it’s a ‘long term ‘ investment, but also because there are numerous ways to invest in any one property. In fact, for many of my investor clients, 2005 is already shaping up to be a stellar year. And if you’re thinking of setting goals this year, remember that the best reason for setting goals is to entice you to become the person it takes to achieve them. I sincerely wish you all the best in the coming new year.

Average price is expected to post a healthy six per cent increase, bringing the value of a Canadian home to $237,900 in 2005—topping 2004’s record $224,729 by more than $15,000.” ”Two markets will break through major thresholds next year, including Vancouver, Canada’s most expensive housing market.
